My name is James Anthony Williams but many of you know me as “Tony.” I am writing to you today to ask for your help. I am a candidate for a kidney transplant and am reaching out to you to see if you can help me achieve that life-saving goal.

I was born and raised in Phoenix and I now reside in Peoria, Arizona. I was born in 1962 and look forward to soon celebrating my 50th birthday. I am a divorced father of six and am patiently but excitedly waiting to become a grandfather. For ten years I served honorably in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Air Crewman.

In 1993, I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes and hypertension which are the two main contributors to my kidney failure. I have been a kidney dialysis patient since June of 2008 and with God’s help, I have been able to remain relatively healthy and keep my spirits up. My doctors at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center have now determined that I should be on the list for a kidney transplant. Dialysis is not a good long term solution and a transplant is my best hope for a return to a good quality of life.
