Joseph was born in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to S.C. in 1979. He graduated from Britton’s Neck High School in 1983. Joseph joined the U.S. Airforce in 1983 and served until his honorable discharge in 1991. Joseph’s other employments were Manager of Advance Auto Parts; and salesman at National Hardware in Florence S.C. He is eagerly looking forward to joining the workforce in the future.
Joseph and Cynthia were married in 1985 and gave birth to two sons (Jywanza and Jakeem). They are the grandparents of three (Amayah, Javyn, and Jordan). Joseph and his family are committed to seeing his transplant through.
Transplants are lifesaving but very expensive. Even with insurance, Joseph is facing expenses for relocation to be near MUSC hospital after the transplant, medications, copays, lab fees
To help offset such expenses, a fundraising campaign in Joseph’s honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the South-Atlantic Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only. If you would like to make a contribution, please click the DONATE NOW bar.
Sincerely,
Cynthia Woodberry
