BOB, DAD, GRANDPA, BROTHER, UNCLE, GREAT UNCLE
FRIEND TOO MANY, MENTOR TO OTHERS
Bob is an outgoing and loving husband and father. He lives with his wife Leslie in Elliottsburg, PA. They enjoy life on their farm with their dogs Chipper, Pogo and Savannah. They also have two horses, Cookie and Dee.
He also enjoys riding his Honda Gold Wing Trike when given the chance.
He was diagnosed with IPF – Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. In December of 2009, he underwent a double lung transplant. He is focusing all his energy on getting better. Bob needs very expensive anti-rejection medications for the rest of his life. Some of these medications are not covered by any type of insurance. Plus there are the added expenses of travel and hospital visits to maintain his health since the transplant.
A fundraising campaign in Bob’s honor has been established with the HelpHOPELive (formerly known as HelpHOPELive or HelpHOPELive) for his uninsured medical needs. HelpHopeLive is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that has been assisting transplant patients for almost 30 years. If you wish to make a tax-deductible contribution, checks can be made out to HelpHOPELive, with In Honor of Bob Brien noted in the memo section. These can be mailed to:
