Family and friends of Betony Zelonis-Gecek are raising money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation. After being on the UNOS list for nearly 2 years, Betony received her double lung transplant on March 6, 2013. She is doing extremely well and thriving but as you can imagine now is when the medical bills really begin to build up.
Betony has chosen to fundraise with HelpHOPELive (formerly NTAF) in part because HelpHOPELive provides both tax-deductibility and fiscal accountability to contributors. The annual bucket of spirits fundraiser is kicking off now, tickets are $10/each or $20/3 tickets. The bucket once again this year will be filled with alcohol and other party 'goodies' and the contents are valued at over $400. Please consider purchasing tickets this year as a charitable donation and of course you have a chance to win a GREAT prize!!
