UPDATE ABOUT PATSY –
Pat is at 4 weeks from surgery now. She is getting much stronger. She is walking the hallways on our floor completely now 3 times a day. She is still using a walker for stability. Her legs get tired, but they are getting stronger as I can see improvement in her stability and walking speed almost every day. She is much better than when I arrived last Wednesday afternoon. We are settling into a set schedule for meals and snacks and working in all three walks. Also, scheduling rest time. Most of the water weight and swelling she was experiencing is gone.
Pat misses being home in her own house, but is trying very hard to stay positive in attitude. She is very THANKFUL everyday for this second
chance of life that she has been given. She feels very blessed for all the support that everyone is giving her and her family at this time.
