Dear Family and Friends,

Many of you know Jayme Mirsky. She has been living in Florida for 39 years, 36 of them as a resident of Coral Springs. Jayme has been married to her husband Stu for 37 years and is the loving mother of three daughters and three granddaughters.

What you may not know is that she needs a lifesaving liver transplant. Jayme wasn’t feeling quite right a few months back. She went to her doctors for a series of tests only to learn she had a malignant tumor on her liver. They scheduled surgery to remove it for September 30, 2013. As Jayme was signing in for the surgery at 5:30 AM, she was given more unexpected and shocking news. Due to a pre-existing medical condition, the only health insurance Jayme was able to get was severely inadequate, so the hospital required a $25,000 co-pay upfront! Her husband scrambled to get a credit card company to allow a large charge in order for the surgery to proceed.
