Some of you know that I suffer from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. My doctors at Duke University Medical Center have told me that my only option is a life-saving lung transplant. Even with oxygen, my ability to do the simplest things that we all take for granted is very challenging.

This brings me to the purpose of my letter. Organ transplantation is life-saving, but very expensive. Even with insurance there are many expenses that must be covered out of pocket. Some of these are co-pays, deductibles, travel to and from the transplant center, relocation at the time of transplant and I will be on a life-time of anti-rejection medications. This is where your help is desperately needed.

Hello Family and friends, I am still pushing forward getting closer to my lung transplant. There have been a lot of challenges but I am determined, and so I keep moving. Some days are harder than others I am grateful for those of you who support me with calls, cards, letters, and donations. I thank God for you all and I love you.

Sincerely, Pinky

Hello PInky,
I will keep you in my prayers. Sis. Jenkins informed me of your situation and was compelled to give. God is awesome and there is not circumstance to big or complex for him. I know he can get you through this.
