Family and friends of Karen Scarbrough are raising money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.

Karen has chosen to fundraise with HelpHOPELive in part because HelpHOPELive assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for donors. Donors can be sure that funds donated will be used only to pay or reimburse medically-related expenses. I'm so thankful for all your prayers and support. I received my new kidney on labor day (9/1/14) and I am doing well. I returned home this past weekend. The kidney is functioning perfectly. Thanking God for this new lease on life. Please continue to donate to my fund. The post transplant medications are super expensive. I'll have to take them for the rest of my life. Thanks again for your help.

I've been called twice for a new kidney. However, they didn't work out. So, I'm keeping hope alive! A fundraising event is tentatively scheduled for Sept. 12-14,2014 in Columbus, Ga @ Gateway Walmart. Please come out and support my efforts. Thanks, Karen
