Over the past year, with the money raised from my last fundraiser, I was able to afford a Saratoga arm cycle to strengthen my arms and keep me active when physical therapy was not affordable. With this arm cycle, I have made so much progress and have much more mobility in my left arm — an area that I have always struggled with. I had set a personal goal that I would able to push myself, and on the 7th year anniversary of my accident, I was finally able to do achieve it. It felt surreal because I honestly could not picture myself–it was so redeeming and encouraging. Recently, with the help of my family, I can now afford to restart therapy again, but with the expenses being so high and my insurance only covering one primary chair at a time – being my electric chair- I cannot afford a brand new manual chair. The manual chair I do have is not fitted for pushing, which can damage my shoulders. I would like to once again ask for your generous help to me fundraise so that I can purchase a fitted manual chair which will help me remain active and healthy, along with living as independently as possible. Thank you sincerely for your contributions.
To help offset the cost of a new chair and other uncovered injury-related expenses, a fundraising campaign in my honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 30 years. In 2000, they expanded their mission to include those who have sustained a catastrophic injury. All contributions are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southwest Spinal Cord Injury Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for injury-related expenses only. If you would like to make a contribution today, please click the DONATE NOW button.
I am grateful for any contributions, small or large, as every bit helps me get that much closer towards getting this piece of equipment to help me regain function, improve mobility for independence, and achieve a better quality of life.
Thank you,
Tammy

Perfect strangers recently helped my family meet a fundraising goal for my daughter's medical equipment, and they've completely changed her life! Though my gift is small, I can't help but pay it forward. I hope you meet your goal! I will be praying for your success!

Tammy, this is actually the first time I even know part of your story, and it left me feeling inspired... to do more. My contribution isn't much, I'm rootin' for you. (: Good luck, and see you when I'm back.

I found this video because it was shared on FB by Katheryn Huynh, and Ken Pham. I know Tammy's brother, David, as merely an acquaintance. Tammy, your story is truly inspiring. Good look in reaching your campaign goals. You deserve much more than what I or anyone else could offer.
