Because Anya has medical insurance, we didn’t expect to have so many uninsured transplant-related expenses such as: co-pays and deductibles, frequent doctor visits, travel (300 miles round trip) and temporary housing for one month to be near the transplant center and the costly immunosuppressant medications that she will need to take for the rest of her life.
Additionally, Anya has two younger siblings who will need care while she and I are at the transplant center. We know that we belong to a loving and caring community. We are facing enormous out-of-pocket expenses in the upcoming months and we cannot do it without you.
To help with this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Anya’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southeast Heart Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please click the DONATE NOW button to make a contribution.
Thank you to everyone for your help and support.
