My sister, Marian Vincent is a courageous woman, who has been living with end stage renal failure for the past three years. Marian has been undergoing dialysis treatment three times a week and has struggled through many medical complications and hospitalizations. Her doctors at the University of Pennsylvania have told us that a life-saving kidney transplant is her only chance of survival.
Marian is a wonderful and loving single mother to her 2 sons, Lamin and Amadu, a dear sister and good friend to many. Every day she demonstrates her determination and fight for her life which is encouraging and incredible. Her love for her children has kept her faith unshakeable and she is enduringly focused on survival.
Even with insurance there are many expenses that must be covered out of pocket. Some of these expenses are co-pays, deductibles; a caregiver for herself after transplant and Marian will be on a life-time of expensive anti-rejection medications. This puts our family up against a challenge we cannot meet alone and desperately need your help.
A fundraising campaign in Marian’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Mid-Atlantic Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please make a contribution today.
It’s never easy to ask for assistance, but funding Marian’s transplant is a difficult challenge and we need your help. Together we can make a difference.
On behalf of Marian, her sons and our family, thank you for your kindness, generosity, support and prayers.
