At just 27 years old, Brandon was diagnosed with End-stage Renal Disease. He has been battling the disease for 3 years now. It was in June 2011 when Brandon began to rely on dialysis in order to stay alive. As a hardworking young man with a full time job, Brandon chose peritoneal dialysis which allowed him to remain employed full time while receiving his treatments at home while he slept. Unfortunately, in October 2012, Brandon suffered from Peritonitis and was forced to change to hemodialysis. Since then he has been visiting Fresenius Medical Care center 3 days a week to receive 4 hour treatments.
Brandon was told that his only chance at a healthy life would require a kidney transplant and thankfully, Brandon’s 24-year-old brother, Blake, has come forward and offered to be his living kidney donor.
The transplant will take place at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, which is more than four hours away from Brandon’s home. Even with insurance, Brandon will have many uninsured transplant-related expenses such as: co-pays and deductibles, doctor visits, travel and temporary relocation for two to four weeks in New Orleans and the costly immunosuppressant medications that he will need to take for the rest of his life (currently estimated at $3,000/month).
To help with this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Brandon’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southeast Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider making a donation today by clicking the DONATE NOW bar. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support of Brandon during this difficult time as together we can make a difference for him.

Brandon - Your positive attitude, faith and strength have been amazing through all of this. I couldn't be more proud of you. Blake's act of love and kindness of giving the biggest gift of all (donating his kidney) and without a moment of hesitation - is amazing. You two are amazing men, amazing sons. Love you!
To all Brandon's supporters - THANK YOU!
