Dear Family and Friends,
We wanted to update you on Forrest (Chuck) Wilt’s progress since his heart attacks in July, 2013. He has received three stints, a pacemaker defibrillator and an L-VAD pump. These devices assist his heart to get blood to all the body organs until a match is found for a heart transplant. He is on the heart transplant list at Allegheny General Hospital.
Forrest is an electrician who has a very good job, but he is now unable to work. He has depleted all of his savings. Unfortunately he has incurred many expenses since July. Although Forrest has good insurance many of his expenses are not covered. He will incur expenses such as travel (round trip between home and hospital is 280 miles), relocation expenses, co-pays for doctor’s visits, medication co-pays, etc. For the rest of his life Forrest will be on very expensive medication to keep his body from rejecting the new heart. He needs the help of his family and friends to meet this challenge.
To help offset his uninsured costs, a fundraising campaign in Forrest’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. All contributions are tax deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Mid-Atlantic Heart Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. You can help make a difference in Forrest’s life. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
Forrest feels very blessed with loving and supportive family and friends who help in so many ways. Your prayers and contributions are truly treasured and will help us through this difficult time.
Thank you and God bless all of you,
