Ronnie has been a resident of Chickamauga, GA for the last 37 years. In the summer of 2011, Ronnie became seriously ill and disabled, and was diagnosed with liver disease and hepatitis. He was told that his only chance of survival is to receive a liver transplant.
Ronnie is married to Jean and they have a son, Jeremy, and three stepsons, Daryl, Derrick, and Dennis. Ronnie was a truck driver for over 25 years, most recently with Comtrak Logistics of Memphis, TN. Ronnie and his family are grateful that he was recently placed on the transplant waiting list.
Transplantation is lifesaving but very expensive. Even with insurance, there are many out-of-pocket medical expenses including travel to and from the transplant center and the costly immunosuppressant medications that he will have to take for the rest of his life.
To help with this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Ronnie’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southeast Liver Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
Please help us in our efforts to help Ronnie whether by making a donation or reposting this anywhere you can. Also, look for fundraising events on his HelpHOPELive webpage.
With sincere gratitude,
Friends of Ronnie and Jean,
