It's been 5 years since transplant and Bob's kidney is working well, however his lung dr's are wanting to get him back on lung transplant list due to last few breathing tests.
It's been over a year now and Bob is doing good with kidney transplant. Still have to plan for the future of possible double lung transplant.
So far Bob is doing very well again. He goes to get blood clots checked tomorrow to see if they are going away.
Bob is currently out of hospital and is recovering well this time, he has lost over 20lbs so we have to work on his diet an get him healthy again. He is starting to get around more. Hopefully no more infections. thank you all again for all the help and support. Candace
Bob was admitted today in emergency room because his heart beat was very high they are keeping him to run tests. Hopefully everything is ok his rate was down to 110 which is normal for him when I left, it was up to 168. Thank you to all for helping and praying for us, Candace
They might let Bob come home today. They are going to put a pic-line in him so he can continue ivy medication for staph infection at home. His kidney is showing a lot of improvement . He is on a blood thinner for the blood clots. Lets hope everything goes well. Thank you to everyone, Candace
Bob has been informed today that he has a staff infection from the kidney transplant. They said the antibiotics seem to be working and that they are going to focus on the blood clot in his right leg. Thank you all for all the help and prayers, Candace
Bob is doing ok for now they moved him from I c u to a regular room still aren't sure what caused the infection so they are running many tests in hopes of getting him better. Thank you everyone, Candace
They did reopen Bob today to drain fluid around kidney, they didn't have to remove kidney at this point. They are not sure what caused the infection. Bob will have to be on diyalais again until the kidney restarts. Bob will be on blood thinners after they figure out what caused the infection. He has a filter in his right leg for the blood clots for now. So far he s doing ok and we all hope that he continues to be strong because of his lung problems he is a very high risk, Also they had to give him meds to lower his heart rate because it was over 120 they got it down to 110. Thank you to everyone helping us in our time of need Please continue to pray. We will know more tomorrow because they are doing a lot of testing on him to try to get him better and hopefully get the kidney back to working once infections clear out with antibodies. Thank everyone again, with love,Candace
Bob is back in the hospital, has infection around new kidney, they might have to reopen him to get fluids from behind the kidney. He went to hospital on Tuesday the 15th because he was In pain then spiked a fever. They think it may be because drainage bag was taken off a little earlier then maybe it should of been. They are also checking him for blood clots. If everyone could please pray for him that would help. Thank you, Candace
