Help Marty Get His Heart Transplant!

As many of you may know, Marty Shaffer, a resident of Kingsport, TN is up against a challenge he cannot face alone. In 1990, a golf ball size tumor was found on his Pituitary Gland. The pituitary gland is responsible for releasing hormones and chemicals including growth hormone, to make the body function properly. Since having his pituitary gland removed, Marty’s body is in a constant mutating state and his heart has grown exponentially larger with only 8% total function. The need for a heart transplant has become urgent.

Marty, We met at a laundry mat in Knoxville when I first moved back to Tennessee in 1996 and have been best friends since then. I am so thankful you offered to help me fold my blankets that day. : ) You are one of the strongest people I know. You have always been there for me and for anyone else that needed you. I love you always and forever. Glitter, sequins, and pearl cream!

Marty, I had the pleasure of meeting you at my daughters wedding. Over the years she has kept me informed about your medical problems. Will continue to pray that you get your transplant and things go well for you and yours.
