During her wait for transplantation, approximately 5 years, Terri has spent her time (when not too ill) volunteering with organizations involved with children, such as: Hibiscus Children’s Center, a safe-house for abused, abandoned and neglected children. Guardian Ad Litems (“GAL”) a “voice protecting the best interests’ of children in the judicial system. Calvary Chapel Volunteer ministering to “Calvary Kids” 0-4 years old, Volunteer Paralegal Services to The Salvation Army, for those under-priviledged individuals who need legal assistance.
Terri has been busy, until this diagnosis of Advanced End-Stage Liver disease with Hepatopulmonary Syndrome. Terri has chosen to fund raise with HelpHOPELive in part because HelpHOPELive assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for donors. Hi friends and family,
I would like to catch up with all my friends and give you an update. I totally miss facebook, however, I have been "out of commission" for the past two weeks, today is just another one of my many comebacks. My existence for the past five (5) years, with this disease, has been and uphill ongoing battle. Fortunately, we are still on track for my liver transplant.
On that note, of being ready and on schedule for my transplant. My family and friends are organizing a Fundraising Event in my honor in order to make sure I am able to meet the requirements, such as a place to live near the hospital for the first three (3) months post-transplant, transportation to and from the hospital, food, anti-rejection medications (which, are very costly), a nurse to help me get through the first 3 months, physical therapy and the list goes on.
I know many of you for years and know when the time arrives, I will be surrounded by my friends. I a teeny family with BIG HEARTS, my daughter who is juggling family, child and ME (not easy), my husband who has been a compassionate companion during my darkest hours and, then, there is YOU my friendafamily. My BFFs. Thank you for your calls, emails and inspiring messages, you are the best!
Got through Angioplasty! Amen. Still recovering and feeling blessed or in RHYTHM WITH THE UNIVERSE, feeling very good and connected. Thank you for your positive energy....
Thank you for your prayers and good wishes. I am in the hotel recovering from this very painful ordeal, BUT, I did come through with flying colors! I am not only a tough woman, I am a Warrior, and, Warriors don't go down easy. WE are going to get through this transplant!
I am so happy and grateful for this page "HelpHOPELive" prepared for me, to be speaking with friends, which,I just cannot keep up with makes me very happy! I just heard from a friend who used to work with me, who said she has never forgotten me for extending to her my kindness, direction and knowledge. She was the "newbie" at work, and I shared all my years of my knowledge with her. Today, she is a Certified Paralegal.
Hello my friends and family, tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. is heart cauterization with possible insertion of stent, due to heart disease caused by liver failure. I pray I get through this procedure with flying colors and I get the final clearance for liver transplant, within 3 months.
Failed cardiology testing. Doctor performing heart catherization to find blockage. This final test, scheduled for June 24, will determine, whether or not, I will be able to meet the challenges associated with a liver transplant.
Hola confia en dios que todo saldra bien y que pronto se pueda hacer el transplante amen.
