Dear Friends and Family:

I am writing to you on behalf of my father, John Bulvin Jr. If you know my father at all, you know that he has always been a hard worker and has always looked for ways to help other people in their time of need. My father worked hard every day for almost 30 years in the steel mills in Johnstown, PA. Even after suffering a heart attack and battling cancer all in the same year 14 years ago, he continued to take care of his father and mother’s place in South Fork and later when his mother moved to Arbutus Manor. He also took care of my other grandfather, who lived with us, by cooking for him and making “the best cup of coffee” for him every day according to my Pap.

My mother, Linda, and my father are now heading down a tough road because Dad’s only chance for survival is a heart transplant. Although he has worked hard to keep himself in shape after suffering a heart attack 14 years ago, his heart has now weakened to the point where it can no longer keep him alive.
