Yan Ostrovsky, a 59-year-old husband and father, is very ill. He and his family were completely stunned when they received a medical diagnosis explaining his deteriorating health; Hepatitis C and cirrhosis of the liver. A liver transplant is his only hope for survival.

Yan and his family started their journey in the former USSR, now Ukraine. He studied medicine and throughout the last 30 years, worked as a nurse and massage therapist helping others in need. The family immigrated to Israel in the 1990’s where Yan and his wife Jana raised two children: Michael and Irina Ostrovsky. In 2002, following many wonderful years in the Holy Land, the family moved to Houston, TX to begin the next chapter in their life, “the cowboy life”.
