Gale Needs A Lifesaving Bone Marrow Transplant

As many of you may know, my daughter, Gale Tickner, has been battling an extremely rare T-cell lymphoma (only 100 cases diagnosed a year in the US) for the past seven months. A bone marrow transplant is her only hope for a return to good health. Unfortunately this will be astronomically expensive.

Gale is a wonderful young woman who is kind, loving, and always giving. She truly is an inspiration to all who know her. But now she needs our help. The last seven months have been incredibly challenging for Gale and her family emotionally, physically and financially. The uninsured expenses for all of her medical care have been overwhelming and the follow-up care will be in the tens of thousands of dollars. Costs include out-of-state housing for both Gale and her caregiver to be closer to the center, transportation to and from the hospital, living expenses while there and the lifesaving medications Gale will need to take for the rest of her life. It is anticipated that her recovery time will be at least seven months and she is required to remain near the hospital for follow up care.
