Give Jerry Your Support!
Family man and Indiana resident Jerry Allen was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver in early 2014. Since then, his health has suffered greatly and he is in dire need of a liver transplant. Jerry, who is known for his kind and goofy personality, is facing significant financial burdens related to the transplant.
65 year old Jerry has been a resident of Richmond, Indiana his entire life. He graduated from RHS and spent his life working hard as a carpenter, a factory worker, and retired as a farmer. Since then he has been spending his time with his wife, Donna, his children, April, Heather, and Christina, and his grandchildren, Emily, Felicia, Chloe, Mason, and Kendra. A transplant will allow Jerry to spend more time with his family and see all the destinations on his travel bucket list with his granddaughter.
Even with insurance Jerry faces many transplant related expenses, including transportation to and from Indianapolis, expensive post-transplant medication, copays, hospital fees, and more. To help with these expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Great Lakes Liver Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider a contribution.
Thank you for your support, generosity, and prayers. Your contribution is greatly appreciated. Keep an eye out for fundraisers on Jerry’s HelpHOPELive campaign page. On behalf of Jerry and his family, we thank you in advance for your support and help.
With Sincere Gratitude,
Emily Durham, Jerry’s granddaughter
