Tim was born with failing kidneys. His first kidney transplant took place when he was just six years old. In January of 2014 Tim ended up in the hospital. It was during this hospital stay we found out that his transplanted kidney, which had lasted for 27 years, was on its last leg. The doctors stated that Tim is fortunate that his transplanted kidney had lasted so many years but he is now in stage 4 of kidney failure.
It has been an emotional roller coaster for Tim and our family since January. We just received news on July 21, 2014 that Tim was placed on the transplant list. Now we must raise funds for his operation and aftercare. Insurance only pays for 80% of his medical bills, leaving us to pay 20%. Tim’s post-transplant care will include expensive medicine that we cannot afford on our own. We don’t have family nearby to help so I will have to take off at least two months from work to be his caregiver. It will be a challenge to have no income at all during that time.
We have chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility to the full extent allowed by law for donors. Donors can be sure that funds donated will be used only to pay or reimburse medically-related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Donate Now button.

Today we go back to the doctor for Tim's fistula. He was only able to receive 2 hours of his dialysis on Friday. The needle slipped and caused Tim extreme pain. His arm has been swore this whole weekend.
Tim was unable to receive dialysis yesterday due to a blood clot. His blood clot is getting fixed today. Please say prayers while he "goes under" The knife today.
Today Tim starts dialysis. Please say prayers for confront.
Tim had a doctors appointment yesterday and received bad news. If he continues to have fluid in his legs, he starts dialysis next week. Please say prayers
Tim came down with pneumonia last week. He spent 3 days in the hospital. He is doing much better and is at home recovering.
As for his kidney, his Kidney levels shot up while in the hospital. We are hoping that they are doing better and will find out in a couple of weeks when we go and see his doctor.
Thank you everyone for the constant prayers!
