Brian grew up in Huntington, WV and graduated from Huntington High School where he attended vocational school to study electricity and earn his journeyman license. Just a few years later Brian earned his master electrician license and not long after that he returned to vocational school to study electronics for two years. However, as time progressed, Brian’s illness worsened and in 1992, Brian started losing his eyesight due to his diabetes. Since then he has undergone multiple surgeries to improve his vision but, as determined as Brian is, his illness stopped him from keeping a job for any period of time. He eagerly awaits a time when he can live a healthy life that includes attending his place of worship, Christ Temple Church, and finding ways to help others. However, now Brian needs our help.
Transplants are life-saving but financially draining. Even with insurance, Brian is facing very high expenses including relocation for four to six weeks post-transplant, travel to and from the center, and copays for post-transplant medications he will need to take for the rest of his life.
To help with the financial burden of Brian’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising to patients for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, and held by HelpHOPELive in the Mid-Atlantic Kidney/Pancreas Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHopeLive for transplant expenses only. Please consider a donation. Each and every contribution counts.

Thank you in advance for your prayers and generosity. Your support is crucial to the success of Brian’s struggle!
Gratefully,
Charletta, Brian’s wife
