Su Breskend’s Operation Kidney

As some of you may know, I am up against a challenge that I cannot face alone. I was born with only one kidney. Over the years, the kidney has continuously lost function. Now it is not working much anymore. I have end-stage renal disease and am on peritoneal dialysis for 9 1/2 hours every day. Dialysis is keeping me alive, but a kidney transplant is my best hope for a long and healthy life.

One of my greatest joys is cooking and I love to share that passion with others. I have always enjoyed helping others in need and I do anything possible to help wherever needed. With a transplant, I hope to be able to more actively engage in these activities.
