My wife, Donna Drake, and I married in 1994. Our lives were thrown into chaos when Donna was diagnosed with NASH (Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis) in 2011. Her life was hanging in the balance until she received her liver transplant June of this year! Donna is on her way back to health, but she still needs the help of family, friends, and community because the medical bills are mounting.

Donna has lived in Missouri all her life and enjoyed waitressing for a while before working as a checker at Safeway, United Supers and Price Choppers Grocery stores which she loved best. However, in 1995, just a year after Donna and I were married, she was in a bad car wreck that left her physically disabled and not able to return to work. Once diagnosed with NASH in 2011, the following few years were filled with doctor visits and various medications doctors hoped would control her disease. We will be forever grateful that Donna was ultimately listed and transplanted.
