Sarah is a loving mother of four who enjoys spending time with her grand kids. She is married to a loving husband and, when she was healthy, she loved to travel. However, two years ago she was diagnosed and her health has been declining ever since. A lung transplant is Sarah’s only chance for survival.
Transplants are life-saving but financially draining. Even with Medicare coverage, Sarah is facing many pre- and post-transplant related expenses that are not covered by insurance such as copays, follow up doctor visits and immunosuppressant medications she will need to take for the rest of her life. It has been estimated she will need to raise between $5000 and $10,000.
To help with the financial burden of Sarah’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in her honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Great Lakes Lung Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider a contribution.
For credit card contributions, please select the “Donate Now” button or call 800-642-8399. To make a credit card donation, see the “Mailing a Check?” box on this page.
Your support is critical to the overall success of Sarah’s struggle. Please know that your contribution counts.
With sincere gratitude,
