Starla Hopkins is a 33 year old mother of three who is very ill. Born with a liver disease that went undiagnosed, she developed complications of cirrhosis and was told that a liver transplant is her only hope for survival. Starla wants to see her children grow up, graduate, get married, and see her grandchildren. She needs our help because the cost of a transplant is overwhelming.
Starla grew up in El Paso Texas where she met her husband Nick. They moved to Tennessee where they have been living for 13 years. Our family is committed to seeing her through this transplant, but this is a challenge we cannot meet alone.
To help with the financial burden of Starla’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in her honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the South-Atlantic Liver Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider making a contribution.
Thank you for your prayers, support and generosity. Keep an eye on the website because we will be planning some fundraising events soon.
Gratefully,
Gary and Cheryl Hopkins, 615-692-2351
