Jennifer Walker is 58 and very ill. After years of battling emphysema, her lungs have deteriorated to less than ten percent of capacity. A lung transplant is her only hope of survival. Jennifer needs our help because the costs involved with a transplant are so overwhelming and she has been told that she needs to raise at least $5,000 before she can be placed on the active transplant list.
Jennifer’s three sons, two grandsons, one granddaughter, the rest of her family, and her loving Pomeranian Snoopy need your support to help breathe back life into their angel, Jennifer.
Transplants are life-saving but financially draining. Even with medical insurance, there are many out-of-pocket expenses including the very expensive anti-rejection medications that Jennifer will have to take for the rest of her life.
To help with the financial burden of Jennifer’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in her honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Great Lakes Lung Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider making a contribution and give Jennifer hope for the future.
