My loving husband, Guy Williams, is waiting for a life-saving kidney transplant. Guy was diagnosed with diabetes over 24 years ago and has been in end stage kidney failure for the last seven years. We are very fortunate that our daughter, Barbara Jean Green is a match and will be giving her father the gift of life, one of her kidneys.
Guy is a wonderful husband, father and good friend to many. He is looking forward to a bright future, being able to be involved in his community and do many things he has been unable to do for so long due to his poor health.
As you can imagine, a transplant is not only major surgery but is also very expensive. Even with insurance, there are many expenses that must be paid out of pocket. Some of these are co-pays, deductibles and Guy will be on a life-time of anti-rejection medications. This is where your help is desperately needed.
To ease this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Guy’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the South-Atlantic Lung Transplant Fund and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant related expenses only. Please consider making an end of year tax-deductible contribution.
On behalf of Guy, Barbara, myself and our family, thank you for your kindness, generosity, support and prayers.
