My loving husband, Roy Crisp is 42 years old and in desperate need of a life-saving liver transplant. Roy has been struggling with Cirrhosis for many years and his doctors at the Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital-Texas Transplant Institute have told us that this is his only option.
Roy is a wonderful father, stepfather, grandfather and good friend to many. Due to his poor health he is no longer able to work or do many things we all take for granted. He looks forward to returning to work and becoming active in his community with family and friends.
Transplants are life-saving but also financially draining. Even with insurance there are many expenses related to the transplant that must be covered out of pocket. Some of these are co-pays, deductibles and travel to and from the transplant center. In addition we will need to relocate at the time of transplant for three months and Roy will be on a life-time of anti-rejection medications. This puts our family up against a challenge we cannot meet alone and need your help.
To help with these expenses, a fundraising campaign in Roy’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the South-Central Liver Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider making an end of year tax-deductible contribution today.
On behalf of Roy, myself and our family, thank you for your kindness, support, prayers and generosity.
