Even with insurance there are many uninsured medical expenses including deductibles, co-pays, travel back and forth to transplant center for pre and post-transplant care, possible temporary relocation expenses and very expensive immunosuppressant medications that Jay will have to take for the rest of his life. While Jay and his wife, Donna are not at ease with asking for support, they have been advised by the transplant social worker to fundraise for a life time of unknowns. We feel the same way; fundraising will allow Jay and Donna to focus on getting well and worry less about finances.
To help with the financial burden of Jay’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Mid-Atlantic Liver Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only.
Please take a moment and make a donation toward this amazing family by clicking donate now, and test to become a living donor. You could be the One to save Jay’s life. Take the action you wish others would take for your loved ones.
