PLEASE HELP OUR FRIEND STANISLAW
It has been about 5 months since Stanislaw Fafara’s tragic accident on September 19, 2014. After being struck by a vehicle while walking on the side of the road, Stanislaw was in a coma for five weeks, the extent of his brain injury unknown. The not knowing during those first several weeks was such a difficult time. There were moments of weakness and doubt but, for fear of losing faith, those concerns were never verbalized. Doctors did not believe Stanislaw would survive, but against all odds he is getting better.
Thankfully Stanislaw is making amazing progress thanks to his beloved wife Violet vigilantly by his side and you, his friends and colleagues, who were there for him during this most difficult time. Despite being in a coma, he felt your presence and heard your voices- all the prayers, kind words and acts of kindness had a profound effect on him. That power gave him the strength to pull through. The love you gave filled his heart and soul and he will be forever grateful.
Stanislaw still needs your support. Rehabilitation for Stanislaw is going to be a very long and costly process. The facility needs to be a place that can provide the level of care and the physical and cognitive rehabilitation Stanislaw requires. However without the assistance of insurance the appropriate facilities cost upwards of $1000 a day out-of-pocket. In an effort to cut costs, it was decided that Stanislaw would temporarily relocate back to his homeland of Poland on April 29th for a few months of rehabilitation that will cost significantly less but travel back and forth is very costly. Stanislaw and Violet continue to face a challenge they cannot meet alone.
To help with the financial burden of Stanislaw’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southeast Traumatic Brain Injury Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for injury-related expenses only. Please consider a donation.

Thank you in advance for your love and support. A contribution of any amount is deeply appreciated and will make the difference Stanislaw so greatly needs.
With sincere gratitude,
Nicholas Blukacz (Stanislaw’s friend)

Przed Stanisławem jednak jeszcze długa droga rehabilitacji, aby mógł dojść do pełni zdrowia psychicznego i fizycznego. On dalej potrzebuje waszego wsparcia.
