Until I joined you and Ellen at your transplant consultation at the U of Maryland, I never quite appreciated PKD and the suffering you're enduring with this disease. You always have a smile on your face, especially for your beautiful little girls! You are brave and strong. God has answered your prayers and the prayers of all of us who love you. Tom is so generous and courageous to give you a gift of life in donating his kidney. I am praying for you and Tom and know God will bless you both and bless the hands of your surgeons with successful transplant surgery.

Ed, you re one of the bravest people IO have ever met. The way you have attacked this condition head on is truly inspiring. Never once have you look for pity or sympathy. We have never met. But I know your Father-in-law, Tom, and your Mother-in-law, Anne. And I also know your two beautiful girls, Nadia and Serena! I see them in church most Sundays and they are so adorable and loving that they often distract me from our worship service. But they are gifts from the Lord, just as you and your family are. So I enjoy them with a sense of gratitude. I am sorry for the challenges you have had to endure. And I am happy that you have reached out to others for help. If not for reaching out, I would not know of your need. So now I can help; not only with encouraging words, but with a check. You -- and Tom -- will get through this.
