Meet Gary Henry, a 56 year old graphic designer and sign printer whose passion is helping others, especially Christian and children’s charities. I’ve been married to Gary for 15 years and together we’re raising two “four- legged children” and an African Grey parrot in beautiful Matthews, North Carolina. Today, the love of my life needs a kidney transplant and I am appealing to you for help.
Earlier in 2014, Gary was feeling that he was having a heart attack, so we rushed to the hospital. After numerous tests, we discovered that he was in stage 4 kidney failure. While having surgery to place a dialysis fistula in his arm, a “cardiac event” actually did take place on the operating table, causing him to need a cardiac catheterization and stent placement.
Finally recuperating from the heart surgery, Gary’s kidney health has worsened into stage 5, bringing with it weakness, exhaustion and several other serious health issues which can only be resolved with a kidney transplant. Transplants are life-saving, but very financially draining. Even with insurance, we face post-transplant medications of over $1200 a month, co-pays, lab fees and other uninsured expenses.
My husband is a very kind, modest and humble man who would never ask for help which is the reason that I’m writing this letter. After many years of giving of his time and expertise to charity, it’s finally Gary’s time to be helped by the kindness of others, such as YOU! Any contribution would be greatly appreciated!

Gary/Marlene,
We know all too well how difficult medical bills can be in situations like this. We also know $100 isn't much, but we hope it will help defray some cost. Certainly, when we have more to give, we will gladly share it. Please know we will keep you both in our thoughts and prayers.
