Raul Granados desperately needs a kidney transplant, and he needs your help to make it happen. Raul has been battling a kidney disease called Acute Nephritic Syndrome for many years. He has been on a strict regimen of dialysis, which has unfortunately led to atrial fibrillation and other medical problems, over the years. This past October, Raul was finally listed for transplant at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Raul’s transplant is lifesaving, but very expensive, and the costs are more than Raul can handle on his own.
Raul is the son of the late Ramon and Elena Granados of Wellington, Texas. He has overwhelming love and support from his parents, sisters and family. However, Raul is required to have the funds prior to transplant in order to undergo his surgery. Without the funds needed for his transplant, Raul will have no choice but to remain on dialysis, which will eventually cause his AFib to take over, and his other organs to fail.
Even with health insurance, Raul is facing very high transplant related expenses such as co-pays, deductibles, doctor visits, temporary relocation and travel fees, laboratory fees, and anti-rejection medications that he will need for the rest of his life. These costs are adding up, and expected to exceed $20,000 for Raul and his family.
To help with this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Raul’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the South-Central Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
Please help our loved one, Raul, with his fight for life with your gift of a donation in any amount. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your help and support. God bless each and every one of you.
Gratefully,
Malena, Rafael and Jerry Granados, Raul’s family

GOOD NEWS UPDATE!! We are very pleased to inform all of our loyal supporters that on December 9th, 2015 Raul received his Gift-of-Life --- his kidney transplant. The surgery was a success and Raul is recovering each day and making progress. Raul's out-of-pocket transplant expenses continue to rise, and he remains in hospital-based outpatient housing and is still out of work. Raul is so blessed and grateful for your consideration to help with his medical and transplant-related expenses. Thank you for your donation. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
