The summer of 2014, before my senior year of high school, my life changed forever. I suffered a spinal cord injury at his C6 and C7 vertebrae leaving me paralyzed from chest down. After eight intensive weeks of physical therapy in the hospital, I was sent home fully dependent on my parents for every aspect of daily life.

I continued my rehabilitation after leaving the hospital and have made significant progress throughout my life since. After what seems like a very long 4.5 years I have become much more independent thanks to a lot of hard work, and assistance from friends, family and even people I have yet to meet.

Wish it could be more, but as you know I'm a broke white woman. Love you more always.
