Chuck Kirkpatrick is 59-years-old and is struggling with congestive heart failure with only 10% of his heart working. He has been in and out of hospitals often within the past few months. Doctors have determined he needs a life-saving heart transplant however transplantation is extremely expensive. Chuck is a wonderful person who needs our help.
Chuck grew up and worked in Clarksburg. He is married to Gloria and they currently live in Philippi with their daughter Barbara Durst and family. He has a MIMS cardiac monitor to measure fluid around his heart and lungs daily. He also has a Merlin’s Home Transmitter that monitors his pacemaker/defibrillator. All of his family is hoping that, through transplantation, he can have a healthier and longer quality life.
Transplants are life-saving but extremely expensive from the medications to the follow-up appointments. Even with Medicare, Chuck will be responsible for co-pays, deductibles, anti-rejection medicines, and uninsured travel expenses to and from Pittsburgh. He cannot face this challenge without our contributions. Chuck needs our HELP!
To help with the financial burden of Chuck’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with HelpHopeLive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible, are held by HelpHopeLive in the Southeast Heart Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHopeLive for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider a contribution.
