As many of you may know, my husband, Brady, has lived with diabetes for a long time. This terrible disease has taken its toll on his body and caused him to go into end-stage renal failure. 20 years ago, Brady lost his sight to his diabetes and now he has been told that his only chance at a healthy life is to have a kidney transplant.
Brady is thankful to be alive and awaits the day when his health is restored thanks to the gift-of-life – a kidney transplant. Even with insurance, he will have many uninsured transplant-related expenses such as: co-pays and deductibles, doctor visits, travel to and from the Mayo Clinic Hospital and the expensive anti-rejection medications that he will need to take for the rest of his life. We are in need of your help!
To help with this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Brady’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southwest Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider making a donation today and click the DONATE NOW bar.
Thank you for everything in advance. May God bless and keep you.

We have wonderful news. Brady has been blessed to receive the gift of life - a new kidney on February 16th. He came through the surgery beautifully and spent only a couple of days in the hospital.
Your support and prayers mean the world to us. But even though the transplant is behind him, Brady is still facing enormous medical bills. Our fundraising is just beginning and we need your help!

Papa, we are so grateful to the Lord that he has provided you a kidney. This gives us the strength to continue witnessing the miracles the Lord performs. We love you and we are praying for your continued health. It's not the beginning of the road that determines our story, it is the experiences and miracles we witness that truly define who we are. You have made such an impact in our lives, and for that we can never thank you enough. We are so happy that you have found love with Ms. V, she has been the root that has grown and reached to find the water to support the life-line of this family tree. There is not enough seconds in a minute, minutes in the day, or days in the week - it is so imperative that we tell time and not have time tell us. And some say time is of the essence - but I say that we are the ones that are essential in other's lives.
We thank you for all of your donations and contributions in our lives Papa, equally among all of us. "One, two, three," and "Santa Claus was a black man," and our favorite, "It's in your book if you didn't tear it out."
And of course lastly, "We are just passing through." Love you Papa, your first girl. -Roz
