Becky is known and loved by many. She is the wife of Denny Best, an employee of Southern States Cooperative for 24 years. They have two grown children, a son and daughter, and Becky is “Nina” to three young grandsons. She worked as a beautician at a local nursing center for 20 years until her health forced her to retire. Everyone there enjoyed her cheerful disposition and patience as she “beautified” and lifted the spirits of the elderly, the disabled and those with dementia.
While lung transplants can be life-saving, they are financially draining. Even with insurance, Becky is facing many uninsured transplant-related expenses such as: co-pays and deductibles (estimated to be at $20,000), doctor visits, travel and temporary relocation to remain near to the transplant center for six months and the costly immunosuppressant medications that she will need to take for the rest of her life (approximately $3,000 /month).
To help with the financial burden of Becky’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in her honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the South-Atlantic Lung Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider a contribution today and click the DONATE NOW button.
Thank you for your prayers, support, and generosity. Follow this campaign page as we will be planning some fundraising events soon and posting updates regularly.
