Some of you know that I was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease in 2007. Less than 2 years ago I began dialysis and my doctors at the Cleveland Clinic have told me that I am now in need of a life-saving kidney transplant.
I am the mother of two and grandmother of one. I am no longer able to work or do many of the things I used to be able to do. After my transplant I am looking forward to helping with my grandchild and becoming an active member of the community again.
Even with insurance, there are many expenses that are not covered and must be paid out of pocket. Some of these are co-pays, deductibles, lab fees, a caregiver, transportation to the hospital and I will be on a life-time of anti-rejection medications. This is where your help is desperately needed.
A fundraising campaign in my honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Great-Lakes Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider a contribution.
With sincere gratitude, I would like to thank you in advance for your kindness, generosity, support and prayers.
