Our son and brother, Ayvin Samonte suffers from IgA Nephropathy (Berger’s Disease). Three years ago his health declined rapidly and he was diagnosed with end stage renal failure. His doctors at the Medical University of South Carolina have told us that his only option is a life-saving kidney transplant.
Ayvin is a very talented graphic artist who looks forward to working for many years to come. He is active in his community and is a good friend to many. Unfortunately, he is unable to continue doing many things he has always enjoyed.
Transplants are a true gift of life. They are also very expensive. Even with insurance there are many expenses that must be paid out of pocket. Some of these are co-pays, deductibles, lab fees and Ayvin will be on a life-time of anti-rejection medications.
To help with the financial burden of Ayvin’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the South-Atlantic Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider a contribution.
Your help would be greatly appreciated. On behalf of Ayvin and our family, thank you for your kindness, generosity, support and prayers
