Make A Difference and Help Hope Live.
Rachel Perez is a 45-year-old woman who has been struggling for 12 years with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension (PPH). PPH is a type of high blood pressure that affects the arteries in the lungs and the right side of the heart. There is no cure for PPH and Rachel’s only hope for a healthy life is to have a heart and double lung transplant at Stanford University Medical Center. Without these transplants, Rachel will not live for many more years. Even through all her health problems, Rachel manages to keep a smile on her face and song in her heart. Rachel is a wonderful person and really needs our help.

Hi family and friends… as you probably know by now Rachel Perez underwent a double lung and heart transplant on Thursday! Rachel has been waiting for this for over three years and went into surgery excited and strong. There were some complications but the medical team has been amazing and they have been able to get Rachel’s heart beating on its own which is awesome! Now they are working on getting her lungs working independent of the ventilator. She is in a lot of pain and they have her mostly sedated although she does have short periods when she is awake… she is responding some to touch etc. They still aren’t letting people see her and she has a long road ahead but they are definitely happier with her condition today than before which is great! We appreciate all of the prayers and messages of support! The prayers are working!!! God is good!!! We will keep you all posted as we get more info. It’s still day to day so please keep the prayers going. While Rachel can’t have visitors for at least the next three weeks to protect her from infection we know that she would love to get cards and messages that we can share with her. You can send cards to:

You can also post to Rachel’s Facebook page. Love and peace…
