Hello,

Let me first introduce myself. My name is Barbara Dumont. I’m 34 years old and live in Los Angeles. I love God and enjoy swing dancing. I’m a daughter, auntie, and friend. Unfortunately, I also need a kidney.

Thank you all for helping me reach my fundraising goal. Unfortunately, due to my poor health over the last year, I had to spend some of your donations. I need to raise roughly another $1,000 to make up the difference.

I'm getting in some lovely lapel pins that you can purchase. All money raised will go here, into the campaign. Thank you all! Your generosity is felt and your prayers have carried me through some rough stuff. Blessings!

Well everyone, hello! I had the surgery to put in the peritoneal dialysis catheter. In about a month, I'll be able to start my "regular" routine again. I honestly can't wait. I felt a small relief at the idea of no longer doing hemodialysis. It just takes too much from me.

I'm also moving forward with becoming reactivated on the transplant list. First I will be meeting with the UCLA Cardiologist, Dr. Lee. After he clears me, I'll meet again with the UCLA Kidney Transplant team. Then if they find all is clear to proceed, I'll get any tests that need to be renewed and I'll be active once again.

Thank you all again for your continued support and prayer!

Barbara, I remember your contribution to the "Gotta Jump" album and I'm glad to be able to help you at your time of need. May God bless you with a better quality of life as you move forward, and a long one.
