Warner Bonner is in desperate need of a kidney transplant, and needs the help of his community to make it happen. In 2013, Warner became very ill and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and high blood pressure. As a result, his condition led to kidney problems, then eventually end-stage-renal-disease.Warner now undergoes an intense regimen of dialysis three days per week, for over four hours each treatment.Unless he receives the gift of life through a kidney transplant, Warner will continue to rely on dialysis, and his kidneys will shut down and fail — eventually Warner will run out of time.
Warner has been an active member of his local community Masonic Fraternal Order for many years. He participates in local outreach programs, and spends his free time volunteering to help others. Warner was happily married for many years, but has been a widow since 2001. His loving wife sadly passed away from kidney failure, and Warner’s longing to overcome his personal battle with his own illness is inspired by his wife’s passing.
Transplants are lifesaving, but the costs are more than Warner can handle alone. Funding this lifesaving surgery is a huge task, as there will be many medical and unreimbursed expenses related to his transplant. As a result of his health, Warner is unable to work and earn a good living to fully support his upcoming surgery. He is legally blind, and relies on public transportation and private shuttle services to get to his medical appointments, which is very costly. To make matters worse, Warner has no supplemental health insurance to Medicare, and his expenses are quickly adding up.
To help with this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Warner’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southeast Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your generosity, prayers and support in helping to make Warner’s kidney transplant surgery a success. Any donation amount, no matter how big or how small, is a priceless gift for Warner.
Gratefully,
Warner’s loving family and community
