Noel Ramirez, husband of Crystal and father of Martin (7) and Nolan (2) of Coal City is in need of a kidney transplant and needs the help of his community to make it happen. Two years ago, just two weeks after the birth of his second son, 42-year-old Noel was diagnosed with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).

He is completely dependent on dialysis, which he undergoes at home five nights a week. His only chance to return to good health is to have a kidney transplant.

Noel is fortunate to have a living donor, his wife Crystal. Transplants are life-saving but very expensive and funding this procedure is a monumental task. Even with insurance, Noel will have many uninsured transplant-related expenses such as: co-pays and deductibles, doctor visits, travel to and from the transplant center and the costly anti-rejection medications that he will need to take for the rest of his life. Additionally, both Noel and Crystal will be out of work for a period of time and will need assistance with daily living expenses.
