Phyllis Earley is a 50-year-old wife, mother and new grandmother in need of a liver transplant. After many years of no health issues, this one has left Phyllis dependent on others for her everyday care and wellbeing. The past two years have been filled with many trips to the hospital and much worry for the family. Phyllis has been told that she needs a liver transplant which would change her life completely. The hope of a transplant and a better life brings with it a financial burden the family cannot meet alone.

Phyllis was raised in Greenville, NC where she met her husband and had two children. When the children were small they moved to Newland, NC in the mountains. After the children graduated high school they decided to move closer to home so they made moved to Ahoskie, NC until she became ill. The first doctors she saw were in Greenville, so they moved there when her illness progressed. Now they are living with her parents so that Phyllis’s husband could stop working and serve as caregiver to his wife 24 hours a day. Phyllis was recently placed on the active transplant waiting list so the future is looking brighter than it has for some time.
