Mother of three–two boys and one girl, wife and friend — Ghizlane Benazzi has always been there for others in their time of need, helping in any way she could. She is known as a kind, generous and compassionate woman. All who meet her enjoy her and love her cheerful outlook and enthusiasm for life. In 2006 my wife was diagnosed with Bronchiolitis Obliterans (Boop), which overtime has taken away much of her lung function. Now Ghizlane has been diagnosed with end-stage lung disease and given the news that the only chance she has for a healthy life is to have a lifesaving lung transplant. Asking for help does not come easy to the woman who was ALWAYS has been there for others.

Before her diagnosis, Ghizlane was an active outdoors person, pursuing her love of family and friends. But since the diagnosis, Ghizlane has become dependent on supplemental oxygen to breathe. She is tethered to a tube 24/7. Even walking with oxygen can leave she winded. Her quality of life is fading day-by-day.
