Alie Collins is a student at Parkville High School in Parkville Maryland. She will be graduating June 2012 and is a member of the Girls Soccer Varsity Team.

About 11 years ago, Alie was diagnosed with kidney disease and now faces the need for a transplant. Since Alie has a donor who is ready to give at the drop of a hat, the doctors are going to wait as long as possible to schedule her transplant. Due to the high costs associated with organ transplants, and some of those expenses not being covered by insurance, her family is in need of assistance. To help, her family has established a fundraising campaign through HelpHOPELive (formerly NTAF), a non-profit organization that has helped the transplant community for a very long time.

Alie, my perfect, beautiful firstborn child. I have not been involved in your benefits except for the bake sale mammaw betty and I did but you better believe that you are never not in my thoughts, my heart and my prayers. I would be there in an instant if I were allowed to be or given any information on anything having to do with this major surgery. As your mother, I want to be there and hate that your father wont let me know any details. I think its ridiculous. But baby I want you to know mommy is with you no matter how many miles are between us. I love you more than life itself and wish I could trade places with you and just make this all go away for you. You make my heart keep beating. You are truly a blessing from GOD and I love you and miss you so much. You are my heart.
