In 2003, she was diagnosed with kidney diseas and began seeing Dr. Adcox in Boise. Rose was stabilized until the 4th of July, 2009, when she was hospitalized for end stage renal disease. Her kidneys failed. Rose started dialysis treatments on July 5, 2009. She was discharged from St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise on July 16, 2009.
On July 18, 2009 Rose began dialysis at DaVita 4 Rivers Dialysis center in Ontario under the care of Dr. Adcox. She continues to receive treatment there 3 times a week. The treatments help Rose to maintain basic functions, but is very hard on her body.
A kidney transplant is Rose’s only chance for survival.
Currently Rose needs to raise $4000.00 just to get put on the waiting list for Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital.
Because of the extraordinary expenses, funding this life-saving operation is a monumental task. Through all this, Rose remains strong and courageous, with the love and support of her family and friends.
We anticipate substantial uninsured costs, such as lifelong immunosuppressant medications, travel to and from the center, and relocation at the time of transplant. This presents a challenge Rose cannot meet alone.
To help offset Rose’s uninsured costs, this fundraising campaign has been established with the non-profit organization Help Hope Live. Rose has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
