One moment in time can take away so much… in this case the use of arms and legs. On November 21, 2014, a woman ran a stop sign and changed Dave’s world forever. Now a quadriplegic with no use of his legs and limited use of his arms, Dave has spent the last five months in a series of hospitals and rehabilitation facilities. As you can imagine, this kind of care is terribly expensive, which is why we need your help.
Dave graduated from Berkner High School and Texas Tech University. He was working as an independent land man in Midland, Texas when he was catastrophically injured. Incredibly, even after what he’s been through, Dave hasn’t lost the most important quality, hope – hope in his ability to improve, to watch his little two-year-old daughter Ella Kate grow up, and to change his future. He has just started a new rehabilitation program in Dallas that will push him to physical and mental limits with the goal of regaining his independence. None of this expense will be covered by insurance.
We have chosen to fundraise with HelpHOPELive in part because HelpHOPELive assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for donors.
